*Please note that the New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade has been postponed
The New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade is the oldest and largest St. Patrick’s Day parade in the world, which means it’s well worth checking out this year. The first parade was held on March 17th, 1762, and today it continues to draw large crowds dressed in green, live bagpipe performances, step dancing shows, and an insanely large crowd of spectators. Every year, approximately 150,000 people march in the parade, while over 2 million attendees come out to take in the day.
