This summer New Yorkers and tourists will have the luxury of enjoying Restaurant Week in NYC for a total of twenty-five days. This biannual event creates the opportunity to try a wide variety of food for flat and affordable prices. All participating restaurants will be offering three course meals at the even rates of $25 for lunch and $38 for dinner.
Aside from the financial advantage of dining out during restaurant week, it is also a great opportunity for eaters to experience the New York City restaurant scene during a period of proud showcases. Winner of Toptable’s 2014 Diners’ Choice award, Alloro offers up some of our favorite food on the West Side. An astoundingly creative menu offers up dishes such as maialino— oven-roasted suckling pig with guacamole and pureed peppers — and salmon— poached salmon filet over buffalo mozzarella puree, fresh tomato, basil and croutons. Wonderful concoctions such as these along with a friendly and decorative atmosphere are great examples of the experiential windows that Restaurant Week can offer.

This upscale French seafood restaurant carries an expensive and stupendous selection of food. The savings and tasting opportunities created by Restaurant Week make visiting a place like Le Bernardin a worthwhile and exciting experience. A menu favorite is the striped bass with wild striped bass tartare, baby fennel, zucchini crispy artichoke and parmesan sauce vierge. They also offer a variety of absolutely delectable caviar. Le Bernardin and restaurants alike are definitely worth a visit during restaurant week.
