The Atlantic Cup is a sailing race series that showcases some of the top Class 40 sailors in the world competing in a 3-leg event. The first leg of the race begins in Charleston, SC and ends in Manhattan, a long offshore leg covering 640 nautical miles (3+ days). The second leg will be a shorter 360 nautical miles (2+ days) from NYC up to Portland, ME. Both the offshore legs will demand high physical input and provide little rest. The boats will be moored at North Cove Marina in Battery Park, a stone’s throw from Duane Street. Stroll over to the marina on June 4th to witness the start of the second leg, and to cheer on these brave sailors!
