The NBA All-Star Game and all of its surrounding festivities will be in New York City soon, arriving February 13-15, 2015. Guests at Duane Street Hotel should plan ahead to prep for this unique set of All-Star Weekend celebrations, which will take place at two different venues.

The NBA’s weekend of events will bounce back and forth between boroughs at Manhattan’s Madison Square Garden and Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, providing a citywide array of entertainment and plenty of opportunities to design your own NBA All-Star Weekend.

Many All-Star Weekend events are sold out, but tickets are available via StubHub or other secondhand vendors. Otherwise, find a bar near Barclays or MSG and soak up some of the action!

The weekend kicks off Friday with two awesome events. The Sprint NBA All-Star Celebrity Game will take place at Madison Square Garden at 7 p.m. This is always a fan favorite, with stars like Snoop Dogg and Justin Bieber showing off their basketball “skills.” Just a couple of hours later, the BBVA Compass Rising Stars Challenge will take place at the Barclays Center. Featuring the league’s best Rookie and Sophomore players, this game serves as an exciting preview of NBA All-Star games to come.

For those designing their own weekend, Saturday should be a bit easier to navigate than Friday. Get over to the Barclays Center for all of the weekend’s signature action or bar hop around the city to catch the day’s must-see TV events. Saturday’s competitions begin with the Shooting Stars and Skills Challenges. The evening will then cap off with the most popular events: the Foot Locker Three-Point Contest and the Sprite Slam Dunk competition.

Sunday marks the main event: the 2015 NBA All-Star Game. As the best basketball players in the world square off for a fun exhibition match on the hallowed hardwood of Madison Square Garden, the city will tune in to the ending of a perfect weekend of basketball. If you can’t score tickets to the big game, be sure to visit one of the city’s many standout sports bars to catch all 48 minutes of fun!
