The big man is coming home. The Piano Man, Billy Joel will be wrapping up a tour of epic venues across the United States with five spread-out shows at the grand and beloved Madison Square Garden soon.
Billy Joel, a Long Island native, has always been an avid New York enthusiast. One of the greatest musical ambassadors of the area, his return is highly anticipated.
Joel will play the first show at Madison Square Garden on August 8th this summer. He will be coming off an incredible string of performances, the venues for which include: Wrigley Field, Nationals Park, Fenway Park and Citizens Bank Park. The momentum from playing all of these iconic stadiums and parks will have Joel reeling with great energy to bring to New York City.
Anybody who can get there hands on a ticket for these shows should be filled to the brim with excitement. Joel’s passion for New York is unparalleled. We can all remember his incredible performance at the 12.12.12 Concert for Sandy Relief following the horrific damage caused by Hurricane Sandy late in 2012. This is truly Billy Joel’s home.
In addition to his kinship with the area and the city, Joel just happens to be one of the greatest classic rock musicians of all time. He will play slow, fast, loud and soulful. It’s well known that a Joel show is one of the most enjoyable concerts available today and over the past several decades.
If you are lucky enough to catch one of Joel’s shows at Madison Square Garden, it is an absolute must. Following his August show, Joel will return to the Garden once a month all the way through December. Every show is going to blow the roof off of one of the United States’ favorite arenas, making each one an absolutely stunning experience.
