Mehtaphor at Duane Street Hotel serves modern eclectic cuisine inspired by Asian and Indian flavors. Located on the first floor of the hotel, this intimate restaurant and cocktail bar features the cuisine of Chef Jehangir Mehta, an “Iron Chef America” and “Next Iron Chef” contestant and owner of the East Village’s celebrated Graffiti restaurant.

A master of flavor, Chef Mehta’s menu features artfully creative dishes incorporating blends of spices and herbs guided by Ayuvedic principles. Guests enjoy tapas-style selections in a casual yet sophisticated ambiance highlighted by warm golden colors and deep woods. A large communal table functions perfectly for large groups and a cozy cocktail and dessert bar is perfect for after-hours drinks and bites.

Cocktail Hour

Duane Street is now offering cocktails and light snacks in our lobby lounge between the hours of 4 -11 pm. Enjoy a smooth cocktail before heading out to dinner or unwind with some wine after a long day in the city. Nibble on some savory nuts or a gourmet cheese plate to hold off your appetite before dining out in Tribeca. Our chic lobby provides the perfect ambiance for after work drinks or pre-dinner cocktails – or even a good old-fashioned night cap!
